Messier 91 (M91) is a barred spiral galaxy in the Coma Berenices constellation. Its alternative designation is NGC 4548. More distant galaxies in the image are PGC 169578 below and PGC 169575 above, with magnitude 10.4 star in our own galaxy at right.
